About The Work

Adina Bar-On's Disposition, took place along the road running from the main highway to the entrance of Kibbutz Nachshon. Her piece examined physical and mental dimensions of proximity and distance between art and audience, and amongst individual members of the audience.

About The Artist

An active performance artist since 1973, when she was a 3rd year Art Student at the Bezalel Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
Over the years, has performed in Israel's major Art Museums and Galleries, always emphasizing her political and social involvement and outlook. In recent years, has been traveling abroad often as both performance- and video-artist.
In 2001, was awarded a prize for her contribution to Performance Art by the American Israel Cultural Foundation, and a book dedicated to her work has been published in Israel.
