About The Work

Hadas Ophrat walked along the road surrounding the heart of the kibbutz, while milk stored in sacks around his body was being made into cheese. The action involved feeding the viewers and replenishing the sacks during the 24-hour long journey. Ophrat's Milky Way was a comment on the ideal autarchic society the kibbutz was supposed to be, as well as on these ideals "going sour".
