About The Work

From the top of a tree decorated in a baroque manner, Michal Mogilner sang the classic Arabic tune Kalimat along with a playback tape of famous Lebanese singer Magda El-Rumi. The meaning of the lyrics was totally foreign to the artist, but their emotional charge was expressed through the choreographed hand movements and body gestures.
