In anticipation of the annual group exhibition “NOT IN MY NAME,” CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo will host an artist talk by 0100101110101101.org (Eva & Franco Mattes), who have continually made work that responds to and dissects the contemporary networked condition, always approaching the ethics and politics of life online with a darkly humorous edge. During their talk, entitled Fake Views, 0100101110101101.org will give an overview of their practice, which, as Randall Packer wrote, has been “exposing all aspects of the digital life – the embarrassing, the narcissistic, the fearless, the gross, the voyeuristic, the insipid, the heartless, and the just plain stupid – revealing the underbelly of our hyper-connected lives.” In the last part of their talk, they will speak about their latest body of work, The Bots, which sheds light on the largely anonymous labor force of content moderators that has emerged with the rise of social media.

The event will be held in English and is supported by Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Tel Aviv.
