Led by CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Operations Manager Amy Sapan, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as video, dance, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the domestic scene.
Etai's Castle is a play for kids ‘weaving’ together movements, songs, texts, and humor. The play creates a bridge – on which the kids are ‘walking’ – between real and fantastical worlds. The play – accompanied by Arik Einstein’s songs – invites the audience to come and meet Etai, the protagonist, in his own room; following this encounter the audience – together with another character named Amit – will discover a magical and colorful world. Within the walls of a Castle (Etai’s Castle), Etai and Amit will investigate the meaning of home and family, sharing their secret fantasies, their dreams and their future with the audience.
The play is choreographed and directed by Rachel Erdos in collaboration with Tomer Giat and Ori Lenkinski; it is produced by Tali Konigsberg; photos by Efrat Mazor.
Etai’s Castle is an original production created with the support of the Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo – Art Division and the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts, Tel Aviv.
The play is suitable for children from ages 4 to 10.
