Initiated by artists and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Content Manager Muhammad Toukhy and Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, “out-of-office” is a series of events presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as dance, choreography, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived to nurture the scene during the dramatic time of the pandemic and its aftermath. The third iteration of this program sees the presentation of two pieces by Kim Teitelbaum. The first, Pretending to Give In, is a dance piece from a new work in progress that holds the same title. This piece will be followed by the screening of Bnot Arabaim [Twilight Girls], which is a comedy in the form of a fictitious YouTube program that was created in response to the eradication and compartmentalization of the body and its appearance on video as a surrogate, a consequence of the pandemic-related social distancing. Pretending to Give In and Bnot Arbaim were both created by Kim Teitelbaum. Bnot Arbaim features performers Yael Moran and Hila Mann; cinematography by Yair Meyuhas; editing by Yaniv Schonfeld and Kim Teitelbaum. It was produced by Sigal Dahan and supported by the Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts, the Independent Artist Trust, and the Yehoshua Rabinovich Tel Aviv Foundation for the Arts. Special Thanks to Tamar Rosenzweig, Alex Drool and Maya Tamir.
