Led by artist and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, alongside artists and Content Managers Mona Benyamin and Esraa Abed, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as video, dance, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the domestic scene.

Created by Noa Simhayof Shahaf, Kobi Swissa, and Yoel Peled, Mercenary (2023) is a performance that examines the relationship between two bodies in a “space of ruins,” where there is nothing left to lose. The bodies in question alternately function as obedient machines and rebellious renegades, and the objects in the work, similarly to their carriers, refuse to be pinned down to a certain time or space; within such scenario, their movements range from gentle levitations to free falls.
