Initiated by artists and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Content Manager Muhammad Toukhy and Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as dance, choreography and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the scene during the dramatic time of the pandemic and its aftermath. The first iteration of this program is Flat / A One Woman Cabaret by Ohad Mazor, which they define as a “solo about a woman that dresses up as many things, an associative voyage into her consciousness.” Through its creative process, diary-like texts were brought into the picture and the author, a woman, started to speak. When these texts were  recorded, giving a voice to this woman, her secret fantasies became alive, revealing a character that is indecisive, inconsistent, imperfect, confused but “determined to kill everything including her own body.” Flat / A One Woman Cabaret features music from John Kander and Fred Ebb (Greta Keller, Joel Grey), Nam June Paik, Madonna, Kobi Peretz, Zohar Wagner and the Stinkies, Sarit Hadad; text by the artist; photos and teaser by Myy Jeraffi; special thanks to Ben Green, Roni Rahamim and Batsheva Dance Company.
