Please join us for a poster workshop led by Brazilian-born, Tel Aviv-Yafo-based self taught artist Alexandre “Sesper” Cruz. This event is part of the public program of The Name of This Band Is The Art (Tel Aviv-Yafo), a project by Ari Benjamin Meyers currently presented at CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo and whose poster and fanzine were designed by Sesper.

The workshop will introduce analog processes of the pre-computer era of creating “gig flyers” – A4 posters advertising real or fictional events. In doing so, the workshop will introduce the participants to a variety of photo-manipulation techniques, employing artistic devices such as collage and photocopying. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drawings, collages, paintings, and magazines, or they can work with materials provided by Sesper. No digital files are required.
