Double Feature: Dance Dance Dance

Double Feature: Dance Dance Dance Wednesday, August 27, 7:00pm Hip Hop and Reggaeton Dance Clips by Tel Aviv’s Teenage Girls To celebrate the workshop led by Luciana Kaplun, two dozen teenage girls will present a screening of reggaeton and hip-hop dance clips they choreographed and performed themselves. Politically and socially rooted, hip hop and reggaeton are two popular and interrelated musical styles that were formed at the intersection of North American culture with that of African and Latino diasporas that speaks directly to the empowerment and self-expression of the teenage girls featured at this event. The workshops are part of Kapluns work with the Levinsky Library and La Escuelita Foundation as part of her participation in the “Artist in the Community” project of the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
