CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo is pleased to announce a series of conversations with Israeli curators whose work had an institutional and historical impact. To inaugurate the series, CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Director and Curator Nicola Trezzi will sit down with Suzanne Landau and engage in a conversation focused on her tenure at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Starting with her appointment as the first Curator of Contemporary Art in 1982 until her departure in 2012, Landau will recount her early encounters with artists and especially with their works – from Anselm Kiefer to Jean-Michel Basquiat, from Damien Hirst to Yinka Shonibare – through four categories: exhibitions, residencies, collection and sculpture garden.
The conversation will be held in English and is dedicated to Israeli pioneer curator Yona Fischer (1932-2022).
Duration: 60 min
