Led by artist and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, alongside artists and Content Managers Mona Benyamin and Esraa Abed, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as video, dance, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the domestic scene.
Moon is a one-woman dance piece choreographed and performed by Or Ashkenazi; this is the fourth piece in a series of solos that explore the sculptural and material qualities of the body and the relationship between her own body and nature. Moon focuses on the female body and on the changes it undergoes during pregnancy; in order to create an embodiment of the pregnant female body – its shape and weight – Ashkenazi performs with a rock created by artist Moshe Roas.
Created and performed by Or Ashkenazi; rock created by Moshe Roas; dramaturgy advising by Zuki Ringart; artistic advising by Tal Yahas and Anat Cederbaum; sound design by Daniella Ljungsberg; costume design by Reut Shalbe.
Special thanks to Alon Lev, Dr. Lee Segev, Meshi Olinky, Ido Feder, Sigal Dahan, and Mandel Cultural Center.
Moon is supported by Yael – a Home for Independent Artists in the Field of Dance, M.A. Menashe, and the Rotem Association; it was conceived within the framework of the Artist Residency Menashe Dance House.
