Please join us for a roundtable inspired by ideas, concepts and issues related to our current exhibitions. Entitled “On Otherness” the roundtable takes the condition of refugees in Israel, mostly coming from Africa and labelled as ‘infiltrators’, in order to reflect on how otherness relates to race and class, in Israel but not only. Moderated by CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo former curator Chen Tamir, it includes contributions by Sister Aziza, who has a long experience with African refugees who had made the journey to Israel via the Sinai Peninsula; Asaf Weitzen, a lawyer with Hotline for Refugees and Migrants, one of the petitioners in the historic Supreme Court case challenging the so-called Anti-Infiltration Law; and Rivka Warshawsky, a psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist specialized in “the political” within the context of psychoanalytic treatment.

The event will be held in English.
