Since its inception in 1998, CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo took a prominent part in the path of many artists who found a home in an institution that believed in their artistic vision. In line with this legacy of long-lasting relationships we are happy to present “On a Silver Platter: Artists to Benefit CCA” a fundraising exhibition conceived to support the Center and its programs, while also marking 25 years to its establishment.

The exhibition features artworks by artists who exhibited at CCA in the past or that are planned to exhibit in the future, as well as artists associated with the Center and its “extended family.” The proceedings will be shared evenly between CCA and the contributing artists.

The title of the exhibition – “On a Silver Platter” – refers not only to the silver anniversary of the Center; but also points to a certain illusion that is built in to the very premise of an art exhibition: the easy way in which we encounter the art, as if effortlessly, belies all the hard work, the obstacles and the doubts that go into being an artist, into making art and presenting it to an audience.

“On a Silver Platter” includes contributions by: Etti Abergel, Eyal Agivayev, Marion Baruch, The Bruce High Quality Foundation, Chen Cohen, Liora Kaplan, Little Warsaw, Ella Littwitz, Ari Benjamin Meyers, Omer Halperin, PentHouss, Guy Bernard Reichmann, Marinella Senatore, Augustas Serapinas, Abed Elmajid Shalabi, Nardeen Srouji, Muhammad Toukhy, Pavel Wolberg, Rona Yefman and Alexandra Zuckerman.

In parallel with the exhibition a special edition of “out-of-office” – CCA’s program of events for time-based media – will be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery, and feature performances by Kim Teitelbaum in collaboration with Zohar Shafir, and PentHouss.

“On a Silver Platter” is curated by Nicola Trezzi in collaboration with Guy Bernard Reichmann.

The exhibition is supported by Sotheby’s Israel; additional support provided by Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Tel Aviv and the Lithuanian Culture Institute. Special thanks to Anne-Sarah Bénichou, Rhys Gaetano, Jose Graci and Alberto Fiore, Marge Goldwater, Nechami Gottlib and Adina Alshech, Adi Gura, Elena Keidošiūtė, Harlan Levey, Tamar Margalit, Andrea Meislin, Sigal Mordechai, Chiara Rusconi, Thomas Rom, Esther Schipper and Pia Chakraverti-Würthwein, Karin Seiz, Shifra Shalit and Chaya Hazan, Suzy Shammah, Maria Sica and Marina Trivella, and Irit Fine Sommer.
