You are warmly invited to a Zoom reading session of “A Report to an Academy” (1917) by Franz Kafka. We will engage in a shared close reading of the text, focusing on the figure of Peter – a former ape who delivers a testimony before the academy about his transformation into a human. Through this reading, we will sharpen our attention to the mechanisms at work in the text, opening a path toward reflecting opening a path toward reflecting on the work of Amir Yatziv, whose exhibition “A Report,” now on view at the Center for Contemporary Art, is informed by Peter’s figure.

The story will be read by dramaturg Nir Shauloff, and the close reading will be led by curator Hila Cohen-Schneiderman.

The event will be held in Hebrew.

The admission is free. For registration, click here.
