In the framework of the exhibition “Andy, Matthew and Ruti,” Liam Chambon will host artists Alona Friedberg and Shahar Yahalom in a conversation about his work Boys Will Be Boys. Friedberg and Yahalom were Chambon’s teachers at the HaMidrasha Art School, Beit Berl College and Friedberg was in dialogue with him around the development of this work. During the talk, they will discuss the relationships between video and still photography materialized, and the obfuscation of the consciousness during the moment of a destructive act, such that it does not permit its understanding or the taking of responsibility for it.

Liam Chambon is an artist working in sculpture, drawing, textile and installation. He graduated with a B.Ed. Fine Arts from the Faculty of Arts- HaMidrasha, Beit Berl College. His work has been exhibited in a duo exhibition at The Artists' Studios, Tel Aviv; a solo exhibition at The Artists' House, Jerusalem; and in group exhibitions at Dvir Gallery, Noga Gallery, The Uri Lifshitz House, and Ta'ar Gallery, among others.
Alona Friedberg is an artist and art lecturer working in the fields of video, sound, and new media. Her work deals with the isolation, deconstruction, and reassembly of cultural imagery drawn from contemporary and historical contexts, socio-political dynamics, and popular culture. Her practice examines the relationship between the personal and local versus the global, media-driven, and virtual. Her work has been shown in art spaces in Israel and internationally, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Haifa Museum of Art, the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Busan in South Korea, among others. She is a lecturer at the HaMidrasha Faculty of Arts and the Department of Fine Arts at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
Shahar Yahalom is an artist whose work navigates the intersection of sculpture and drawing. She holds an MFA from Columbia University, New York and a B.Ed. Fine Arts from HaMidrasha School of Art, Beit Berl College. She held many solo exhibitions such as at MoBY - Bat Yam Museums of Art; the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Galerie Odile Ouizeman, Paris; the Kibbutz Cabri Gallery, Noga Gallery, and more. In addition her work has been included in many group exhibitions worldwide. She is a lecturer at HaMidrasha School of Art and Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
