Led by artist and CCA Tel Aviv-Yafo Office Manager Guy Bernard Reichmann, alongside artists and Content Managers Mona Benyamin and Esraa Abed, “out-of-office” is a series of events to be presented in the Marc Schimmel Multipurpose Gallery. Focused on time-based practices such as video, dance, and performance, and in line with the multidisciplinary mission of the Center, “o-o-o” was conceived as a way to nurture the domestic scene.
As We Were Talking is a piece by dancer and performer Anat Shamgar – who is currently the head of the choreography department at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance – and Kiki Keren Huss – a composer and sound artist who works with electronic and electroacoustic music – and is performed by Shamgar. It interweaves body, sound, and space, creating an exposed and yet mysterious environment that reflects the ongoing dialogue between Huss and Shamgar. Such dialogue, embodied in the piece by six speakers and one woman, constantly seeks to find the emotional and defining core of their encounter.
