Close-Up: Tamar Harpaz on Ridley Scott’s Alien

Tuesday, June 17 at 7:30pm Close-Up: Tamar Harpaz on Ridley Scott’s “Alien”

Close-Up is a new series of film presentations by artists. Join Tamar Harpaz as she discusses Ridley Scott’s Alien, the 1979 science fiction horror classic based on an extraterrestrial creature that stalks and kills the crew of a spaceship. Harpaz will introduce the film and consider how it, along with Alfonso Cuarón’s 2013 film, Gravity, have shaped conceptions of outer space. Close-Up will take place outdoors in the CCA courtyard. The event is free of charge. The introduction will be presented in Hebrew. The film is in English with Hebrew subtitles.
