Conversation with Christian Jankowski

Thursday, May 17 at 7 pm

Artist Christian Jankowski (*1968, Göttingen, Germany; lives and works in Berlin) is visiting on the occasion of the group exhibition “KEDEM–KODEM–KADIMA” to which he is contributing with two works, Visitors and Review, which he presented in “Heavy Weight History,” his solo exhibition at CCA Tel Aviv in 2014. His conversation with the institution’s founder Sergio Edelsztein will focus on collaborations, a central element in Jankowski’s practice, which often involves individuals from different fields and layers of society, from museum directors to street artists. They will discuss Manifesta 11 in Zurich, curated by Jankowski – the first artist to be invited as curator of the European Biennial of Contemporary Art – in 2016. Jankowski saw Manifesta as an extension of his artistic practice, and an opportunity to engage with other artists in “circular collaborative dynamics.”

The event will be held in English and it is supported by OUTSET.

Entrance: 10 NIS
