Reading of Hdjt Ljr

Thur. Aug 20 @ 8 and 8:30pm

Started in the year 2000 and pursued until 2016, Irma Blank’s versatile and prolific cycle Global Writings originated from the creation of the eponymous alphabet, composed by eight consonant letters from the Latin alphabet (c, d, h, j, l, m, r, t) chosen by the artist for their sounds and their capacity of becoming, once combined, potential words that stray away from European languages. Please join us for a reading of Hdjt Ljr, the artist book written with the Global Writings alphabet, a new tongue meant to be universal, which Blank described as “pronounceable, legible, but not understandable in the conventional sense – a text for everyone.”

The reading will have two rounds, at 8 and 8:30 pm Space is limited, please RSVP here  Duration: 30 minutes Fee: 10 ILS

*Due to the strict limitation imposed by the Ministry of Health, last minute cancellation will prevent other people from attending the event. Please make plans accordingly and if you can’t make it – please contact us and cancel: info@cca.org.il || 03-5106111
